This unused Paraguay stamp is Raphael's Portrait of a Young Woman, aka La fornarina. This painting was most likely in Raphael's studio at the time of his death, and may have been later modified and sold by one of his students. The model for the painting is generally believed to have been the baker (fornarina), Margherita Luti, Raphael's Roman lover for whom he provided in his will.
